What is Asian Handicap?
Originating from Asia, Asian Handicap betting is a form of betting on sports in which teams/players are handicapped according to their form, so that a stronger team/player must win by more goals/scores/points for a punter betting on them to win.
Asian Handicap is a form of betting that creates a more level betting environment between two mismatched competing teams/players by giving a "handicap" (expressed in goals, scores, or points)to the teams/players prior to the start of match/competition. In Asian Handicap, a goal/score/point deficit is given to the team/player more likely to win (i.e. the Favourite) and a head start is given to the team/player less favoured to win (i.e. the Underdog).
As an example, in the event above, Arsenal being the favourite team receives a goal deficit of half a goal (0.50) before kick-off.
Favourite - Arsenal(- 0.50)
Underdog - Fulham(+ 0.50)
